Just discovered your site and wanted to say thanks for the comforting and reassuring words. I have 8 year old twins (boy and girl) both with albinism and life has definitely had its ups and downs. Thanks again and look forward to your posts and info.
[...] About Me [...]
I have a beautiful, funny and bright grandaughter with albinism. Hard for me to keep that in mind! but I agree the media has made this condition one open to ridicule and scorn. I hope all the children who grow up will have a positive experience to share with the world that albinism has not prevented them from doing. Yes, we all have a ‘condition’. Keep up the good fight.
My 5 month old son was confirmed as having albinism last week. I was initially struggling with this news despite it being very evident from looking at my baby boy from the day he was born that he was unusually fair – and adored him regardless. I have found your blog very informative in these early days of coming to an understanding of the condition. The video was wonderful. I’m sure I will be sharing the link regularly as a summary for those close to my family to assist in developing their understanding also.
